CyberTracker

We humans are exceptionally good at dealing with visual, non-verbal information. CyberTracker takes advantage of these abilities by providing a way of recording game sightings in an intuitive, icon driven environment. It is being used by African bushmen (see also The Gods Must be Crazy) to record games sightings for research. Some of my own research builds on these same skills. I am developing a program to teach plant identification as a visual skill. Students in my lab are using a protoype of the program to learn plant anatomy.
